Kiku knots were used as good luck charms on the back of samurai helmets.
Tsuna can be found in Japan’s Danjiri festival where every neighborhood has an ornate cart, with tsuna and fusa kiku adorning the them, the carts are usually shaped as a temple. These carts and the townspeople participate in a race, winner gets bragging rights.
